We are seeking an FRCPC qualified/eligible Anesthetist to provide Ambulatory Anesthesia solo practice services at our Day-Surgery facility in Sackville, New Brunswick.
The Sackville Memorial Hospital, a facility within the Horizon Health Network, provides Day-Surgery services for Orthopedics, Plastics, Gynecology, Urology, General and minor Vascular surgery to approximately 1,100 ASA I & II patients each year. These patients are thoroughly screened to meet ambulatory surgery selection criteria pre-operatively.
Anesthetic expertise in general, axial regional, peripheral regional and conscious sedation techniques is required. An outstanding, highly experienced, OR Nursing team and state of the art equipment is present on-site to facilitate provision of these services.
The Day-Surgery program runs between 7:45 a.m. and 3 p.m., Monday – Friday, and there is no on-call requirement. Family Physician, Laboratory, Emergency Room and basic Radiology services are available on-site. Back-up Anesthesia/ICU and other specialty support, with a capacity to admit patients when rarely required, is available at our parent facility, The Moncton Hospital, 30-minutes away.
The Sackville Memorial Hospital Operating Room functions within the Horizon Health Network and is a satellite facility to the main OR and Anesthesia Department of The Moncton Hospital. As The Moncton Hospital has affiliation with both Dalhousie University and Memorial University, academic, teaching and research opportunities are available.

Remuneration model is negotiable with the opportunity for a salaried model with a range between $253,058 and $279,682 annually (excluding benefits and source deductions) based on qualifications and experience. Under a salaried model, the candidate is eligible for twenty paid vacation days and ten CME days each year. Alternative remuneration includes fee-for-service which is a direct compensation between the physician and Medicare of New Brunswick or daily stipend (pending approval). No source deductions are provided. On-call remuneration is fee-for-service.
